RMVD has become VLCM’s Unified Communications / Telephony business unit and brings extensive and immediate growth to this division of VLCM. With this merger now official, VLCM is able to provide their customers greater options and support in the area of unified communications.

To date, VLCM has sold ShoreTel as their primary solution for business and mobile phone-system solutions. With the merger of these two companies, the offerings of both have expanded. VLCM can now offer their customers a wider range of unified-communications solutions including: ShoreTel, NEC, LifeSize, Veracity, other Telcos, Interactive Intelligence, inContact, Syntellect, Call Recording, Microsoft Lync, Oaisys, and Polycom. Not only will these additional partnerships help fuel the success of the merger but so will the joining of each company’s customer base—the combination of which will double the reach of both VLCM and RMVD.

VLCM and RMVD are now poised to be the largest sales and support force for ShoreTel in their respective states, those being: Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. “By combining RMVD’s strengths with VLCM’s strengths, we project that in 3-5 years we will be doing 5-10 times what we are doing now,” said Mike Linton, VLCM’s VP of Sales.

“RMVD and our customers will benefit from the IT experience and resources offered at VLCM, and the VLCM team and customers will be able to tap into the RMVD experience and resources on the telephony side of things,” said Paul James, RMVD’s leader in the merger. “There should be no one in the valley with the resources and expertise of our combined companies. This benefits both RMVD and VLCM, but more importantly, will be a great benefit to our customers and our being able to better meet their needs.”

Some of the strengths that RMVD brings to the mix that will help VLCM expand their business beyond its current reach are:

  •    A phenomenal cabling and installation team that will integrate with VLCM’s current Audio-Visual team
  •    Considerable experience with ShoreTel inventory and deployment across the nation (3,500 handsets, 70 locations—with installed locations up and down the east and west coast)
  •    Additional, certified ShoreTel engineers
  •    ECC qualification
  •    Same vision of doing business and unmatched customer care

With all these qualities in place, VLCM and Rocky Mountain Voice and Data are poised to become a powerful presence in the realm of unified communications. Both companies bring their respective strengths together to form a cohesive unit that will serve the needs of their customers both present and future.
