VLCM is proud to announce that its CEO, Mike Linton, has been named a 2025 CEO of the Year by Utah Business, joining an impressive roster of Utah leaders who are transforming the way business is done in the state.
The annual Utah Business CEO of the Year list honors exceptional executives who have demonstrated bold leadership, a commitment to innovation, and an unwavering focus on their people and community. Mike’s recognition reflects his achievements and the company-wide momentum he has helped create at VLCM.
“I’m grateful to be recognized as Utah Business’s 2025 CEO of the Year alongside an amazing group of CEOs whom I look forward to connecting with,” said Linton. “This award is because of the incredible VLCM team that I feel blessed to work with every day as we help clients become more cyber-secure and leverage technology to accomplish their goals. Thank you to Utah Business for the recognition. I’m just really grateful.”
Under Mike’s leadership, VLCM adopted the Traction Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), enhanced employee benefits, and expanded from a regional to a national presence. He has strategically positioned the company for continued success, particularly in professional services and cybersecurity.
His focus on emerging technology, particularly AI and cybersecurity, has also placed him on advisory boards for global partners like Hewlett Packard Enterprise and TD Synnex. His approach to innovation is hands-on: testing tools, designating internal experts, and making AI readiness a company-wide conversation.
“Mike has been an incredible leader, mentor, and advocate throughout our 11+ years working together,” said Darci Piz, VLCM’s VP of Strategic Partnerships. “I’ve seen firsthand the integrity, vision, and dedication he brings to VLCM every day. This recognition is so well deserved—and I couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations, Mike! Excited for VLCM’s continued growth under your leadership.”
Mike’s leadership style blends competitiveness with compassion, driven by the values of sincerity and integrity instilled by his father. It’s this foundation—and his forward-thinking mindset—that continues to set VLCM apart.
In addition to this most recent honor, Mike was named a 2024 Mountain West finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year program, recognizing his bold leadership and lasting impact on the region’s business community.
Congratulations, Mike, on this well-earned recognition!
