VLCM has been recognized again as one of Utah’s leading workplaces, earning two statewide honors in 2025:
Both awards are based largely on employee feedback, making the recognition particularly meaningful. They reflect how people at VLCM experience their work, their teams, and the company as a whole.
According to Utah Business, employees consistently highlighted:
Mike Linton, CEO of VLCM, shared the following after receiving the Utah Business award:
“Today VLCM was just recognized as a Top Place To Work in Utah by Utah Business for the fourth year running. This is the most meaningful award to me, because it reflects our purpose: to help people enjoy life at work and at home.”
He also credited the leadership team for making that purpose actionable every day:
“Thank you to everyone at VLCM, and especially our management team — Brandon Madsen, Darci Piz, Devin Larsen, Jeremy Morgan, Gene Godfrey, Josh Linton, Paul James, Phillip Tarver, Matt Shelley, Kylie Gray, and Neal Baker — who play a central role in making VLCM a great place to work.”
Mike closed with a quote from Clayton M. Christensen that continues to guide VLCM’s leadership philosophy:
“Management is the opportunity to help people become better people. Practiced that way, it’s a magnificent profession.”
Earning both awards year after year isn’t about a single initiative or benefit. It’s the result of listening, adjusting, and treating culture as something that requires ongoing attention—especially as the company grows and the work evolves.
VLCM is grateful to Utah Business and the Utah Top Workplaces program for the recognition, and congratulations to the other 2025 honorees. Most importantly, thank you to the VLCM team for shaping a workplace that continues to earn this distinction.
