All 36 holes were stacked with two foursomes each day, a great opportunity for attendees to network and bond over charity and golf. VLCM held the 2014 tournament on September 16th and 17th and raised $143,000 to benefit cancer research and the fight against MS.

Months of planning gathered 20 remarkable sponsors, each providing raffle prizes valued close to $500 for those who attended. One grand, hole-in-one prize was sponsored by Larry H. Miller- a 2014 Lexus! Each dollar raised from raffle tickets, golf and the day’s festivities were donated to the charitable organizations. All expenses were paid by VLCM- ensuring a full donation from the event. Other attractions also made this a notable event to fund research on diseases that affect people worldwide.

A pop-up Nike tent was the highlight of this charity golf tournament. Sponsors and golfers were allowed to spend $100 at an impressive tent-store for exclusive Nike attire, clubs and even footwear. Any purchases made after the allowance were also directly donated for a larger lump sum. Feedback from the event included comments like “Epic tournament, I’ll come back every year” and “Worth every penny.” VLCM is known for providing notable experiences and giving back to the community.

Tournament attendees were also provided breakfast, lunch, and hotdogs at the bend. Rita’s Frozen Custard was available to cash in free custard vouchers, perfect for the warm days we had at the golf course. Reaching epic status- golfers who purchased separate advantage packages were allowed to compete for amazing prizes in sponsored hole contests. Everyone who dedicated their time to this important fundraiser received some kind of gift from VLCM, leaving no one empty handed.

Gathering at the clubhouse for lunch, we were able to hear from Lori Kun of the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, applauding VLCM for the large contributions made every year since 2007. Those present also heard from Josh Linton, VP of Technology, VLCM, about his family's experience with cancer and the remarkable work these donations help fund. As we grow as a company, we continue to ask for your support so we can support our community.
