VLCM and HP at the Megaplex
This past week marked the most recent VLCM movie event. HP and VLCM came together to offer their customers a great seminar on the technologies that are shaping our present and future. Later that night, those same customers were treated to an exclusive prescreening—courtesy of HP and VLCM.
IT Mega Trends
After a brief presentation regarding VLCM’s business ideals and their client-focused approach to IT solutions, Josh Allen turned the time over to Josh Linton, VLCM’s VP of Technology. Josh presented on a myriad of topics that fall under what he deemed Mega Trends in the IT industry. Topics such as cloud computing, mobility, and virtualization were all subjects presented and openly discussed among those in attendance. The presentation addressed the challenges posed by these technologies and how those challenges can be overcome with VLCM’s help in partnering with their customers on a strategic level.
HP and BYOD
After Josh finished his remarks, Trent Fausett, one of VLCM’s Professional Services Engineers, took the reigns and discussed HP’s approach to BYOD.
Trent’s presentation equally discussed the obstacles that are presented to IT professionals when mobility concerns are presented and a company’s path to managing multiple devices per user—devices that could potentially pose security threats to a network. However, most importantly, Trent related the features of HP’s IMC offering for BYOD network security and efficiency. In other words, these common challenges faced in a BYOD network are remedied by HP’s IMC solution.
VLCM, HP and Marvel Studios
After the presentations were completed that day, VLCM and HP treated the attendees to a pre-screen showing of Captain America: Winter Soldier that evening. As impressive as it sounds to say that VLCM partners with Marvel Studios to support all their IT needs, it would be shy of accurate. However, VLCM did support Marvel Studios that night by offering their customers a free movie, complete with complimentary concessions.
